Dannemiller began 25 years ago as the Dannemiller Memorial Educational Foundation and has been located in San Antonio, Texas since 1984.

The Anesthesiology Refresher Course Lectures, the genesis of the Dannemiller Anesthesiology Review Course, were first begun in 1953 by Dr. Arthur B. Tarrow to prepare Air Force anesthesiologists for board exams. In 1970, Dr. Joseph Dannemiller was informed that the Air Force could no longer support this event, so he founded the Society of Air Force Anesthesiologists to ensure the continuation of this important educational meeting and in 1984 the Dannemiller Memorial Educational Foundation was created. In 2009, the company changed its name to Dannemiller.
